Jessica & Nicolai

Jessica and Nicolai were one of the first couples to book with me at The Wedding Journalist, entrusting me to capture this significant moment in their lives. I feel truly privileged to have documented their absolutely perfect wedding day, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

The day kicked off at Opstal Wine Estate, where their ceremony and reception were taking place. I began by meeting up with Nicolai at Grietjiesdrif just down the road, where I shot the gent's prep. The guys were full of enthusiasm and excitement for Nicolai, setting a fantastic tone for the day.

Afterward, I joined Jessica and her bridesmaids at Omari Farmhouse to capture the final stages of their preparation photos before the ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and joy as they readied themselves to tie the knot. The ceremony marked the beginning of a day filled with love and happiness, and I continued to capture each special moment back at Opstal.

Opstal Wine Estate provided a stunning backdrop for this beautiful occasion. Martelle Etsabeth served as the coordinator, and Martelle's Flowers by Design crafted the lovely decor and floral arrangements. Chef PJ Lombard delighted everyone with the catering, Corle Barnard worked her magic on Jessica's hair and makeup, and Shahnaaz Groeneweld designed the bride's dress to perfection. Rina Viljoen added the finishing touches with bridal party makeup, and Justin Slechter (ATIC Mobile DJs) set the mood with his music.

I'm deeply honored to have been a part of Jessica and Nicolai's wedding, and I look forward to many more remarkable moments to come. Cheers to this wonderful couple and the beautiful day at Opstal Wine Estate.
